last day of school

This past Friday was my last day of teaching. Upon my parting, the kids took the initiative to make me farewell cards that I decided to share with you readers.

On the cards, many of kids practiced writing the very little English they know.
As a common pronunciation problem amongst the French,
Cassandra's written "hand" is an attempt on the word "and."

Inès actually went as far to intentionally write the different parts of the body,
inspired by the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes."

Enzo obviously asked for help from the teacher to write
something a little more fitting for the occasion.

Others mixed in French, "I will miss you!"

I also received an assortment of different drawings.
Such as dragons...

 chicks...

flowers, leeks, and strange flying heart demons...
and empty ticket desks at the train station.
Some kids were in a patriotic mood...

proudly incorporating the tricolor in their creations.

But as I am still am in France for another month to do some springtime travel,
I thought this would be a good note to end on!

Merci beaucoup à tous les élèves et les profs de l'école Jean Macé!
